To access a webpage when overloaded or offline

If you find difficulty to access a webpage only to find that it is either offline or overloaded from too much traffic.You can get access to the most recent cached version using the Resurrect Pages extension for Firefox.If you encounter a webpage that is offline or overloaded by sudden popularity then the Resurrect Pages extension can help you get access to the information that you need using a cached version.

Steps to Follow
  • Download and install the Resurrect Pages extension.To Download the add-on click here.
  • Resurrect Pages available in three ways:
    1. In the context (right-click) menu for the current page, and for all links.
    2. In the toolbar, just customize it to drag the button in.
    3. With the keyboard: press Ctrl-Shift-U

  • With Resurrect Pages, you can search through five big page cache/mirrors:

                     Google Cache (plus text-only version)
                     Yahoo! Cache
                     The Internet Archive
                     MSN Cache

  • You can check out the site even if the server is down. Of course, not every page can be in every cache. When a page is unavailable, you’ll generally see that site’s error page. Hit back and try another one.
